Matthew Gruenberg

Matthew Gruenberg is General Counsel
of Fred Leeds Properties. His practice is concentrated
in general corporate matters, real estate, including retailing,
leasing, and development, and all aspects of commercial and
real estate litigation. Mr. Gruenberg earned his Juris Doctorate
and graduated on the Dean’s list from University of San
Diego in 2005. While in law school, he received American Jurisprudence
awards for Civil Procedure, Contracts, Torts, and Legal Writing.
Mr. Gruenberg is an active member of three sections of the American
Bar Association: the Business Law Section, the Real Property
Section, and the Forum on Franchising. He is admitted to the
Supreme Court of California, the Supreme Court of Colorado,
and the United States District Court, District of Colorado.
Mr. Gruenberg’s work history includes serving as a Law
Clerk for the Honorable Leo S. Papas, in the United States District
Court, Southern District of California, and for the United States
Attorneys Office, Southern District of California. He was a
real estate associate at Snell & Wilmer, LLP, in Denver,
Colorado, and a corporate securities associate at Dreier Stein
Kahan Browne Woods George, LLP, in Santa Monica, California.
Mr. Gruenberg’s published work includes authoring "Franchises",
in The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Business Organizations
(2008), and co-authoring “The Devil is in the Details:
Critical Issues in Establishing and Operating Franchisor-Assisted
Resale Programs,” for the International Franchise Association
2007 Legal Symposium, and “Alternatives to the Franchise
Model,” for the Franchise Business Law Alert in 2006.
